Make sure you have a sturdy crate to secure your pet in the car and make sure animals that are normally allowed outside are confined indoors for the first few weeks after a new move to give them time to adjust. If your pet is not microchipped, it might be a good idea to have the procedure done as it is quick and inexpensive and will save a lot of heartache should your pet get lost.
